Closing Ceremonies are rarely rehearsed in the stadium and the entire production is built overnight prior to the event, this coupled with the inclusion of some of the worlds biggest acts such as The Who, Queen, Muse, George Michael, The Spice Girls, The Pet Shop Boys, One Direction, Elbow and Jesse J, made for a perfect storm of complication and competing priorities.

ST KILDA FESTIVAL
Audio systems design and noise management planning
St Kilda Festival is one of Australia’s best known, and Melbourne’s most loved events, showcasing the cream of Australia’s musical talent. Auditoria was engaged by the City of Port Phillip Council and St Kilda Festival as acoustical and audio consultants. We developed and designed sound systems that are integrated with our noise management plan. This has allowed for the best balance and experience for the festival goer whilst minimising the impact on the local residents.

CHINESE NEW YEARTWILIGHT PARADE IN SYDNEY
Audio systems design and management
Auditoria was engaged by the City of Sydney to dramatically improve the audience experience of the Twilight Parade in Sydney’s CBD. The event attracts an audience of approximately 100,000 who line the city streets to catch a glimpse of the parade as it rolls by. Audio for the parade was historically not a high priority until the attendances grew and the organisers could justify the costs. Our design consisted of a combination of fixed loudspeaker systems for the VIP audience areas and vehicle-mounted systems for the parade floats.

VARIOUS SPECTACULARS AND VARIETY SHOWS

The NSW Schools Spectacular is an annual event to showcase the artistic talents of NSW public school students. We were engaged in 2007 to reinvent the show from a sound perspective to deliver a more consistent and high quality audience experience and 10 years on, our design remains vastly unchanged.
Creative Generation is a similar event showcasing the talents of Queensland public school students.
